Born in 1975 in Bucharest, she is married with the writer Florin Iaru.
Cecila graduated the Language Collage of the Bucharest University and has a master degree in The Theory of Literature and Compared Literature. She wrote for the collective volumes “Ferestre ‘98 / Windows ‘98” and in “Tescani 40238” (2000)
“Legaturi bolnavicioase / Love sick” is her editorial debut. First edition in 2002, Paralela 45 and the second edition in 2005, Polirom. The book has been translated into French and it is about to be published at the Phoebus publishing house.
Cecilia work in the press, taught the Theory of Literature at the Language Collage in Bucharest. She published articles in magazines like „Dilema“, „Vineri“, „Exces“, „Madame Figaro“ „Design Buletin“, „Interval“, „Cahiers roumains d’études littéraires“, „Cotidianul“, „Curentul“, „Observator cultural“, „Dilema veche“ and translatet from French Daniel Pennac, La petite marchande de prose, in 2004 and Tahar Ben Jelloun,"L'Auberge des pauvres", in 2002.
She finished her second novel, “Intrarea Soarelui / The Sun is entering" that is being published at the Polirom publishing house.
